Indicative renewal cost (PQP)

PQP is what you pay to renew a COE for another 5 or 10 years instead of scrapping the car. It tracks the average COE price over the last 3 months. These figures are indicative, worked out from the recent results on this page, not the official LTA PQP.

Demand this round

Bids received against the number of COEs available. Anything past the halfway tick means more bidders than spots.

The tick marks the quota. A full bar is roughly twice oversubscribed.

What each category means

• Category A. Smaller cars, up to 1600cc and 130bhp, plus electric cars up to 110kW.
• Category B. Bigger or more powerful cars, plus larger electric cars.
• Category C. Goods vehicles and buses.
• Category D. Motorcycles.
• Category E. Open category, can be used for any vehicle except motorcycles, and is the only one not tied to a specific car at bidding.

When results come out

COE bidding runs twice a month. Results are announced on the first and third Wednesday, at around 4pm. This page uses the official LTA dataset published on data.gov.sg.

What moves COE prices

• Quota. The number of COEs available each round, set from de-registrations and the allowed vehicle growth rate.
• Demand. More buyers chasing a fixed quota pushes premiums up, especially for popular categories.
• Dealer bidding. Showrooms bid on behalf of buyers, so launches and promotions can swing a round.
• Economy and rates. Loan costs and sentiment shift how aggressively people bid.
